What it is
Your town is full of things to do — farmers markets, live music, festivals, classes, quiet trails nobody told you about. The problem was never a lack of things happening. It’s that nobody told you about them.
Dayfari fixes that. It’s a local discovery app that surfaces events and experiences around you, plans road trips worth taking, and makes sure your days off actually feel like days off.
What it does
- Events near you — a live feed of what’s happening around town: markets, concerts, festivals, classes, family activities.
- Road-trip planner — pick a route and Dayfari finds the stops worth making along the way.
- Days-off ideas — tell it when you’re free and it’ll suggest something worth doing.
- Save and remind — save anything that catches your eye and get a nudge before it happens.
- Per-town feeds — purpose-built local feeds, town by town, so smaller communities get the same coverage as big cities.
- Free to start, ad-free app — no banner ads, no popups. The app stays clean.
How it started
Dayfari started in Abbotsford, BC, with a simple frustration: weekends kept slipping by, and nobody seemed to know what was actually happening around town.
That turned into three ideas — a local events finder, a road-trip stop planner, and honest aggregated reviews for local spots. Then a friend in Sault Ste. Marie pointed out her town had the exact same problem, and the idea grew up: purpose-built feeds for every town, not just the big ones.
Today the feed pipeline covers dozens of towns and thousands of events — and it’s still expanding, one community at a time.
